The School of Tourism and Hospitality Management (STHM) of Holy Cross College proudly hosted The Barista Cup, a competition designed to showcase students’ skills and creativity in the art of coffee brewing and appreciation. The event gathered aspiring baristas who demonstrated their knowledge, technique, and passion for coffee through various brewing challenges.

Participants had the opportunity to apply their training and present their craft while highlighting the precision, flavor balance, and presentation that define excellent coffee preparation. Adding inspiration to the competition was the presence of Mr. Marvin Buan, CEO of Brew Point Café, who graced the event as a special guest. During the program, he shared valuable insights and industry expertise, encouraging students to continuously refine their skills and pursue excellence in the growing world of coffee and café culture.

Through activities like The Barista Cup, the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management continues to provide students with meaningful opportunities to develop practical skills, build confidence, and prepare for future careers in the hospitality and beverage industry. The competition not only celebrated the craft of coffee-making but also inspired participants to keep brewing passion, creativity, and excellence in every cup they create.
