HCC Sepak Takraw Dominates PRISAA 2026: Men’s Achieve 3-Peat, Women’s Back-to-Back Champions

The Holy Cross College (HCC) Sepak Takraw Team proudly brought honor to the Crucian community at the PRISAA Regional Games 2026, held in Olongapo City from March 2–7, 2026. Demonstrating exceptional skill, discipline, and teamwork, the teams delivered a historic performance that solidified HCC’s dominance in the sport.

The Men’s Sepak Takraw Team achieved an incredible 3-Peat Championship, showcasing their consistency, strategy, and athletic excellence. Representing various departments, the boys’ lineup included: SCITE: Bustos, Jake Emanuel STHM: Dela Peña, John Paul; De Luna, Jericho; Cataylo, Mark Christian; Tungol, Clarence Bob; Vergara, Benjie; Muldong, Lawrence; Guevarra, Marcky Noah SBA: Balagtas, John Reuben; Guevarra, Mert Hillary; Gamboa, Justine Paul; Pangilinan, Karl Ashlie SCJ: Ramos, AJ; Juanta, Rylie Meanwhile, the Women’s Sepak Takraw Team secured a remarkable Back-to-Back Championship, demonstrating determination, skill, and teamwork.

The girls’ lineup included: SCITE: Hernandez, Angelica SCJ: Landayan, Aleah SBA: Soriano, Aleisha Mica This outstanding achievement has earned the HCC Sepak Takraw Team the honor of advancing as National Qualifiers, set to compete in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, from May 8–15, 2026. The success of both teams reflects not only the talent and dedication of the players but also the guidance and leadership of Head Coach Mr. Joseph Cris M. Valdez, whose commitment and mentorship played a pivotal role in shaping these champions. The entire Holy Cross College community celebrates this remarkable feat.
