The School of Tourism and Hospitality Management is committed to providing quality, industry-aligned education through a progressive curriculum, holistic faculty development, strong industry-academe linkages, and impactful community extension programs that empower students for sustainable career success.
DEPARTMENT GOALS
- Academic Excellence: Deliver an Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curriculum that complies with CHED and global industry standards.
- Industry Integration: Foster strategic institutional partnerships to provide students with high-quality internship (OJT) opportunities and faculty with continuous industry immersion.
- Innovation & Research: Encourage research and utilization of emerging technologies within the hospitality and tourism sectors.
- Community Engagement: Implement sustainable community outreach programs that promote social responsibility, nutrition, and cultural preservation.
- Resource Sustainability: Maintain state-of-the-art laboratory facilities and income-generating projects to support continuous departmental growth and student development.
DEPARTMENT OBJECTIVES
- Academic Excellence. To ensures, all course materials meet CHED regulations, stay updated with modern digital trends, and prepare students to pass technical certifications.
- Industry Linkages & Employability. To connect students with top-tier industry partners for high-quality OJT provides direct grooming and job preparation, and tracks successful employment after graduation.
- Faculty Growth & Research. To supports faculty members in finishing their graduate degrees, updates their teaching methods through real-world industry immersion, and drives local academic research.
- Laboratories & Resource Management. To keeps simulation spaces (kitchens, hotel rooms, travel desks) upgraded to match real workplaces, using income-generating projects to help fund these improvements.
- Community Extension. To use the department’s professional skills in food, service, and tourism to help local communities through outreach and collaborations with local government units (LGUs).
