The School of Tourism and Hospitality Management (STHM) of Holy Cross College formally commenced STHM Day 2026 with a vibrant and meaningful Opening Ceremony attended by students, faculty members, and distinguished guests.
The celebration began with the ceremonial presentation of the Giant Kakanin, a grand centerpiece inspired by the renowned Giant Lantern Festival. This unique cultural tribute highlighted the rich Kapampangan heritage, showcasing the creativity, artistry, and spirit of excellence that reflect the values of the tourism and hospitality industries. Carrying the theme “Colors of Tourism and Hospitality: A Carnival of Culture, Adventure, and Skills Shaping Future Professionals,” STHM Day 2026 celebrates cultural appreciation while promoting professional growth among students who aspire to become future leaders in tourism and hospitality.
The event also features a series of exciting activities throughout the celebration, including the Skills Day Competition, where students demonstrate their expertise and practical abilities in various tourism and hospitality-related disciplines. The festivities will culminate with the much-anticipated STHM Night, a special gathering that celebrates the creativity, camaraderie, and achievements of the STHM community. Adding to the significance of the celebration, the event has gained media attention and was featured by several Pampanga-based news outlets, including GNN TV44 Pampanga, SunStar Pampanga, and CLTV36, further highlighting the institution’s dedication to promoting Kapampangan culture and excellence in education.
