Holy Cross College proudly celebrates the exceptional performance of its Elementary Badminton Team, who delivered a golden victory at the EZAM Pre-Game held at the Oakland Clubhouse, Beverly Place. Showcasing skill, discipline, and true sportsmanship, the young Crusaders proved their readiness to compete on bigger stages.

Leading the team’s triumph was Johanna Fae B. Balagtas, who claimed the Gold Medal in Singles A after a series of impressive matches marked by agility, focus, and determination. Her performance reflected hours of dedicated training and a strong competitive mindset.

Adding to the team’s success, the dynamic duo of Faith Yassy Josette P. Reyes and Saffron Catin B. Tan dominated the court to secure the Gold Medal in Doubles. Their excellent coordination, teamwork, and strategic play demonstrated maturity beyond their years and highlighted the strength of the Elementary Badminton program.

These victories are a testament to the athletes’ hard work and commitment, as well as the steadfast guidance of Coach Ma. Nehemia D. Macabali, whose expertise, encouragement, and unwavering support played a vital role in shaping the team’s success.

With this remarkable achievement, the Elementary Badminton Team now sets its sights on a greater challenge as they advance to the PriSAP – Private School Association of Pampanga competitions. Holy Cross College proudly celebrates the remarkable achievement of its Elementary Boys Volleyball Team, who clinched Second Place (Silver Medal) in the Elementary Division during the competition held on September 10 at Arayat Holy Child Educational Foundation Inc.

The young Crusaders displayed grit, teamwork, and determination throughout the tournament, battling fiercely against strong opponents and proving their growing potential on the volleyball court. Each match highlighted their discipline, coordination, and unwavering fighting spirit, qualities that define true Crusader athletes.

Leading the team was Danilo T. Pineda III, who served as team captain and exemplified leadership both on and off the court. Alongside him were dedicated teammates Jian Aiton D. Manalili, Luis Rafael L. Ramos, Zhid Matthew T. Balagtas, Sean Martin D. Malonzo, Wenzel Chaz S. Canlas, Yansher G. Garcia, Jibrel Angelo M. Robles, Dwight Mc Clane F. Guinto, John Henry P. Mapiles, and Enzo G. Manalaysay, all of whom contributed significantly to the team’s success.

The team’s impressive performance was made possible through the guidance and commitment of Head Coach Ms. Edlyn T. Suva, whose mentorship helped instill discipline, teamwork, and confidence among the young athletes.

Although the tournament concluded with a silver-medal finish, the experience and growth gained by the team stand as victories in themselves. Holy Cross College extends its heartfelt congratulations to the Elementary Boys Volleyball Team for bringing pride and honor to the school. The Doubles Team of John Rayven Cruz and Jon Christopher Hollera delivered a dominant performance to secure the gold medal, showcasing excellent coordination and competitive composure.

In the Singles event, Ian Christian Nucum fought valiantly against strong contenders and earned a bronze medal, adding to the team’s medal haul.

The Elementary Crusaders proved equally formidable on the court. In Badminton Elementary Girls, Johanna Fae B. Balagtas emerged as gold medalist in Singles A, demonstrating focus, agility, and determination throughout the competition.

Meanwhile, the Doubles Pair of Faith Yassy Josette P. Reyes and Saffron Catin B. Tan claimed the silver medal, highlighting teamwork and perseverance in every match.

Leading the charge was Homer Anthony Shek, who emerged as the Gold Champion in Table Tennis Singles A (Secondary Boys). Displaying remarkable precision, focus, and unwavering determination, Homer outplayed his opponents and secured a well-deserved victory that brought honor to the Crucian community.

Adding to the school’s success, Ava Isabelle Lulu claimed the Silver Medal in Table Tennis Singles B (Elementary Girls). Her strong performance, perseverance, and commendable sportsmanship reflected the values of a true Crucian athlete and inspired both peers and supporters alike.

These achievements would not have been possible without the dedication and guidance of Coach Carmela Lacanlale, whose commitment and support continue to shape and uplift Holy Cross College’s table tennis athletes.

Their outstanding performances exemplified excellence, confidence, and a sincere love for Kapampangan culture, earning them well-deserved recognition.

“Voices across Generations” stands as a testament to the Crucian commitment to cultural pride, unity, and the preservation of the Kapampangan language—an inspiring celebration that truly brought the community together.

Crucian strength and spirit were on full display as the Holy Cross College Taekwondo Team delivered remarkable performances at the Private Schools Association of Pampanga (PSAP) Inter-Zonal Athletic Meet, earning multiple medals and bringing pride to the entire Crucian community.

Leading the team to victory was Jesy Miel Manalus, who claimed a gold medal with sharp technique, confidence, and a fearless presence on the mat. His outstanding performance not only secured a top podium finish but also set the standard of excellence for his teammates, embodying the true spirit of a Crucian athlete.

Adding to the team’s success, Theodore Ram De Leon and Nikki Lising showcased determination and discipline as they both earned silver medals, proving their competitive edge against formidable opponents.

The team’s depth and unity were further highlighted by the Elementary Poomsae Group, which captured a bronze medal. Special recognition goes to Coelie Avereen Juliano, whose performance contributed significantly to the group’s achievement and demonstrated poise beyond her years.

Leading the Crusaders in the High School Division, Homer Anthony Shek (Grade 11) showcased exceptional skill and composure as he dominated the Single A Boys category, earning a gold medal for the school. His victory highlighted not only technical excellence but also discipline and competitive determination.

Adding to the medal tally, Eureca Schimer Salvacion (Grade 11) secured a bronze medal in Single B Girls, demonstrating grit and resilience against tough opponents. Meanwhile, teamwork and coordination were on full display in the Doubles Boys event, where Gab Mathew Camano (Grade 11) and Kenshin Montoya (Grade 9) clinched the bronze medal, marking a commendable achievement for the pair.

The Crusader spirit extended to the Elementary Division, where young athletes rose to the challenge and made their presence felt. Jarem Jacob Cutamora (Grade 5) earned a bronze medal in Single A Boys, while Ava Isabelle Lulu (Grade 6) delivered an impressive performance to capture the silver medal in Single A Girls, signaling a promising future for Holy Cross College table tennis.

These achievements reflect the athletes’ dedication, consistent training, and passion for the sport. Behind every successful rally and hard-fought match is the unwavering support and guidance of the school’s dedicated coaches, whose commitment played a crucial role in honing the skills and confidence of the student-athletes.

Crucian campus journalists once again proved their excellence as both Junior High School (JHS) and Senior High School (SHS) representatives bagged multiple awards during the 42nd Divisional Secondary Schools Press Conference (DSSPC) 2025, held on February 4–5 at Potrero National High School and San Vicente Pilot School for Philippine Craftsmen.

Highlighting the school’s outstanding performance, the Radio Broadcasting (English) Team emerged as Overall Champion, earning them a coveted slot in the Regional Secondary Schools Press Conference (RSPC) 2025. Joining them as an RSPC qualifier is Maria Mikaela Miranda, who placed second in Science and Technology Writing (Filipino).

The Radio Broadcasting (English) Team dominated the competition, clinching 1st Place and the title of Overall Champion (RSPC Qualifiers). They also earned several special awards, including 1st Best in Script, 2nd Best in Technical Application, 2nd Best News Anchor (Raj Joaquin Aryal), and 4th Best News Anchor (Maria Leona Cunanan). Team members include Raj Joaquin Aryal, Maria Leona Cunanan, Precious Anne Edejer, Bronblake Soliman, Heart Luanne Gregorio, Aaliyah Shanelle Mendoza, and Hannah Kimberley Muñoz.

Meanwhile, the Collaborative Desktop Publishing (Filipino) Team secured 4th Place, along with 3rd Best in News Page and 3rd Best Layout. Members are Sebastian Suarez, Bea Marie Mangune, Calee Sagmit, Aiza Javier, Neo Kyle Alarcon, Ralph Adrian Dungca, and Cassandra Reyes.

The TV Broadcasting (English) Team placed 5th, garnering multiple special awards such as 4th Best News Anchor (Irish Manalo), 5th Best News Presenter (Rhian Anika Malazarte), 5th Best Director (Charish Mae Guevara), 3rd Best Devcom Plug, 5th Best Technical Application, and 4.5 Best Script. Team members include Irish Manalo, Stephen Querubin, Charish Guevara, Rhian Anika Malazarte, Jena Garcia, Sabrina Nedic, and Lord Lapuz.

Completing the school’s strong showing, the Online Desktop Publishing (Filipino) Team also earned 5th Place, represented by Princess Cyra Jem Yanga, Ivan Josh Tuazon, Miko Mendoza, Raymart Miranda, and Angel Nicole Garcia.

With these remarkable achievements, the Crucian journalists continue to uphold the school’s tradition of journalistic excellence. As they advance to the RSPC 2025, the entire Crucian community proudly stands behind them, confident that they will once again raise the banner of excellence on the regional stage.
