The Institute of Civil Engineering envisions to provide the conducive environment to achieve holistic quality education in Engineering and become one of the leading academic institutions in the region thereby producing engineers who are God loving leaders, globally competitive and socially responsible citizens of the country.

MISSION

The Institute of Civil Engineering mission is to prepare liberally educated, competent and skilled engineers who will contribute to nation-building through the instruction of qualified and dedicated instructors, applying 21st century teaching skills, and research thus, enhancing student knowledge through  values and religious education, meaningful academic engagement and experiential learning.

OBJECTIVES

The Holy Cross College BS Civil Engineering Program aims to produce engineers who are able to attain the following Program Educational Objectives within three to five years after graduation:

  • Competent Civil Engineering professionals, applying technical managerial skills for planning, research, design, construction, operation or maintenance of the built environment and other infrastructures.
  • Registered Civil Engineers committed to an active program of life-long learning, including studies leading to professional advanced degree in civil engineering that provides for continued development of technical abilities and management skills, and attainment of professional expertise.
  • Experienced engineers involved to the local, national and global issues related to the development and applications of Civil Engineering standards and the impact of these issues that allow them to be a service-responsive professional leaders and contributors to society.
  • Faith-oriented engineers continuously engaged in a professional organization, research, ethics, quality performance, public policy and safety.
