VISION

The Institute of Computer Engineering envisions providing a conducive environment to achieve holistic quality education in Computer Engineering, aiming to become a leading academic institution in the region. Guided by the principles of Fides (Faith), Caritas (Charity), and Libertas (Freedom) in all academic and community endeavors, and aims to produce Computer Engineers who are God-loving leaders, globally competitive, and socially responsible citizens. Graduates will excel in the profession and address the challenges of a technology-driven world with both technical expertise and a compassionate spirit.

MISSION

The Institute of Computer Engineering mission is to prepare highly skilled, ethical, and socially responsible computer engineering professionals rooted in the core values of Fides (Faith), Caritas (Charity), and Libertas (Freedom). Through the instruction of qualified and dedicated faculty applying 21st-century teaching methodologies and engaging in research, the program fosters critical thinking, problem-solving, and lifelong learning. This mission enhances students’ knowledge through values-based education, meaningful academic engagement, and experiential learning, empowering them to advance technology and serve society with integrity, compassion, and a commitment to truth.

OBJECTIVES

The Holy Cross College BS Computer Engineering Program aims to produce engineers who are able to attain the following Program Educational Objectives within three to five years after graduation:

  • Attain  positions of leadership in organizations who will demonstrate mastery and competency in solving Computer Engineering problems;
  • Continue to develop in the area of Computer Engineering or any related chosen field, contributing to societal progress through research and innovations, community service and participation in professional organizations.
  • Achieve a respected status in the community and workplace exemplified by active membership in national and international professional and civic organizations.
  • Demonstrate faith in the Creator in personal and professional dealings with fellow human beings and live the core values of Fides, Caritas and Libertas.
